Welcome to Acacia Bayside Swimming Club Incorporated, (usually just shortened to Acacia). Acacia Bayside is one of Queensland’s oldest and best known clubs, affiliated with the Brisbane Swimming Association and Swimming Queensland.
We compete in the Premier Division of Brisbane Swimming Premiership Competition and are looking to repeat last years winnign performance in Premier Division.
Through these associations it offers members the opportunity to compete at regional, state and national levels.
We are based at Moreton Bay College located at Wondall Road, Manly West. They have made their facilities available to the Club as part of it’s commitment to the community.
The aims of Acacia Bayside Swim Club are:
- To provide a club catering for swimmers of all abilities and ambitions.
- To encourage and foster swimming as a healthy form of sport for both competition and recreation.
- To teach children the importance of setting goals and working hard towards those goals.
- To encourage parents to take an active role in their children’s’ activities and to become involved in all facets of the Club’s operations.
- To create and encourage a strong team and team spirit.
- To give children the benefits of being part of a team: co-operation, commitment, dedication and friendship.
- To develop the character traits, technical skills and intensive desire and commitment necessary for maximum realization of each individual’s potential.
- To develop life-long friendships.
- To help develop better people through improving their self esteem.
